Inspired by the Bq Ciclop and the B.Owens Piclop, I have begun my re-mix of this project combining the framework of the Ciclop printed pieces and the work others have done in utilizing the Raspberry Pi to drive this scanner. I'm also re-mixing other peoples work (credit given by listing them as sources). Any re-worked STL's I'll include in this project here. The rest of the source files for those looking for them will have to go to the respective sources. I've set up a blog to record my successes (and hopefully not too many failures) of this project. http://cicloppi.blogspot.ca/ My goal is to re-mix a bunch of pieces found here on Thingiverse (noted in the re-mixed from links) along with some ideas and designs of my own hopefully in the end resulting in a functional Ciclop Pi Edition... The plan is to use this space to hold all of the printable pieces for those interested in downloading them. My blog (noted above) will contain progress reports. May 23rd, 2015 Update: Managed to get a little time to start putting it together. Starting to look like a scanner. I decided to re-print the tower in white (as you can see in the photos), and at the same time remove the internal support structure for holding the Ciclop circuit board, also dropped the inside bottom a little to give a bit more overall space in the tower for electronics. Next will be to finish building the big bearing (no, I'm not planning on buying that bearing, going to try to print my own). Then continue on with the build. STL Descriptions: Piclop Plate Built this to provide some extra bolting strength to the base of the Ciclop camera tower Top Plug This fits in to block off the Logitech camera location at the top of the Ciclop camera tower. This piece is a work-in-progress, destined to become part of the camera Raspberry Pi camera mount for the factory Ciclop tower. Motor Tube Double Long This is a Re-mix of the Faan P "Piclop Laser Scanner" motor tube such that in this STL, it is twice as long as the one provided in his build. That way I don't have to stack two of them between the motor base and the tower, I can just print a single. Be fore-warned, you'll need something equivalent to the TAZ5 build volume to pull that one off.
