Basically this is similar to other leveling jigs. I have modified the design to suit a Replicator 2X and use 3 magnets for extra stability. also added extra file types so you can cater for different size magnets and indicators. "Re: [MakerBot] Re: leveling platform problems and filament guide tube takes off! The trick is not to use the back screw at all until the front two are good. Also, completely ignore one of the heads. Your choice, left or right, but don't change mid-stream. Ignore one for the entire process. Just put the heads in the front left corner position, get a good drag on a biz card, then do the same on the front right position TO THE SAME HEAD. go back to the left to check if anything changed, if it did - go back to the right, etc... Once the front is good, then position the heads to the middle of the very back of the plate and adjust once TO THE SAME HEAD. You're done. It should take very little time... maybe two iterations on the front and one adjustment on the back. Now that you have the three points perfectly aligned, put the head you've been working with in the center of the plate. Not good? You've got a warped plate. If it is good, now check the other head... the one you've been ignoring all this time. Different? Your heads are misaligned. Everything good? Congrats. Now go buy aluminum arms from Bottleworks and save yourself from doing this over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...." I do the same, but after I set the Extruder Nozzle height I then move the Extruder out of the way and then put this jig over the same first adjustment screw then the other two adjusting screws to dial in the exact height. (Note the white dots I put on the frame to help with lining up the jig with the adjustment screws.) I also scale the object at 101.18%
