This is a map of the sea floor showing the area around the Deep Water Horizon when the spill occurred. It is a big file I know but, I had the resolution and I wanted to get some of the coast in the data for the map. They were drilling at 5100 feet below sea level. The deepest part of the this map SE of the drill site is about 6700 feet. The stats are:
Vertical Amplification Factor: 8.0 (for better perspective)
Total Area (approximate): 6238.2 Sq. Kilometers (84.9 km X 73.5 km) Map Coordinates:
LL: 28.598/-89.050
LR: 28.598/-89.918
UR: 29.262/-89.918
UL: 29.262/-89.050 STL is about 3.3 million polygonsYou may want to print this to be relatively small. I used to get warping using PLA and it got bad when I try to print Raised Relief Maps that are big. Now that I have a heated bed, I get much better results.
