Asuna's sword hilt from SAO (lambent light). READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. Let me know how it turns out, I'd love the feedback! See instructions for how I put mine together.Download: -cone_top -Cone_Bottom -ASUNA_TOP or ASUNA_THICK_TRIM (the trim on the edges is thicker in thick trim) -ASUNA_BLADE_DETAIL -Block -Hilt_full (I split the hilt into 2 pieces Hilt_upper and lower for stability on my printer) I printed everything at .2mm at 30% infill. Depending on what material your blade is made of (foam or wood) you'll want to print the handle denser to support the weight. I've added a version of the hilt with a hollow center to insert part of the hilt for stability. The upper part of the cone and the hilt don't need supports but everything else does. Use at least 2 perimeters. Total print time for all pieces was somewhere around 12 hours. You'll need to copy and mirror the blade detail in your slicing program for the other side of the blade. Attach separate pieces with abs glue (dissolve some scrap abs in acetone and brush on with a small, cheap paintbrush). Make sure everything is centered before you let it dry because once it's set, you will not be able to separate the pieces. I coated my pieces in a thicker solution of abs glue to fill imperfections and sanded them to make them perfect, but the raw prints should be good just to print, glue, and sand the seams and make a decent prop. The blade details were glued with liquid nails. I made the jewel with clear Castin' Craft polyester resin with Castin' Craft blue dye, both are at Hobby Lobby. You can also get the mold there, it's for resin jewelry or order it on ebay, looks like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-Mold-Round-Dome-4-Sizes-35mm-28mm-21mm-18mm-Cabochon-Domes-Jewelry-Moulds-/371147699139?hash=item566a2073c3:g:JMUAAOxyIAZRrkEK I used the next to smallest mold and sanded the base until it was the correct size, then beveled the inside to fit the hilt, attached it with epoxy, wet sanded it with 2000 grit sandpaper and clear coated it. In the picture you can see through to the epoxy behind the jewel because of the flash, but in person you can't really see it.The slit in the middle is for a 1/4 wood/foam board for the blade, just cut the blade and slide the hilt over it.
