to go with the magnetic effector, I've printed a temporary add-on to my carriages in order to replace the blue ball-links and the aluminium profile. Once instakked, I'll print a final all in one magnetic carriage set. Meanwhile, the SCAD is joint an can be freely used to patch rostock or other carriages ... here is an insane speed test : http://youtu.be/R3WuQjNps9E edited to give more room to the magnet (+2/10mm in diameter) edited: After having assembled the whole things on my delta, I was concerned by the fact I could by hand make one rod pop with a simple lateral strenght apply at the level of the effector when it was close to one column (nearly horizontal position. It appears that the nest made by the countersunk magnet is not deep enough. To get rid of that, i've added an epoxy ball seat. It is made of what you call "JB weld", here in France, it is epoxy loaded with steel. This mastic is magnetic so it helps to stick the ball. Moreover, the sphere shape of the seat acts as a tank for oil ==> less friction
