This is a 3D print of an ellipse circle, its the first thing I made for my 3d printer (ultimaker 2 ext). It was designed with sketchup. I printed the parts with PLA, sliced with Cura. Hope you like it. Trammel – ellipse circle 1) Print all parts. (Print the small parts two at once.) 2) Remove some burr with a knife or a fine sandpaper. 3) Put the splint with the knob together, you can hear a “klick”. 4) Give them into the runner and use a little bit of silicon spray. Test if they slide well. 5) Fix the hexagon female screws (M3) in the knobs with a drop of superglue. 6) Screw the screws (length 12mm, diameter 3mm) in the gears and in the pencil – holder. 7) Put four little wood screws in the holes of the runner. They are used as pins. 8) Assemble the pencil – holder and use a piece of pencil and fix it with the screw. 9) Test the circle and enjoy!
