A Plan of Salvation kit to teach with. I made this for my daughter and then added a second set of word plates in Spanish for my son. My intention is to make this free to everyone to make as I feel it would be inappropriate to sell kits.Plan of Salvation Kit Printing Instructions The following instructions detail how I printed my designs on my printer. Modifications and feedback are welcome. Printer Software: MakerBot Desktop 3.7.0.108 3D Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4S Grave File(s): Grave.stl, GraveSupports.stl Filament: Black ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: The support and grave STL files are oriented coincident to each other. When adding the files to the build plate keep their default positions even if that places them off of the build plate. Then after both files are added select them both and center the group and place the group on the platform and the supports will be in the correct position to fill the inside of the hollow grave. I print both in the same material from the same head. Once the grave is printed, tear out and clean away the supports so that the grave is hollow underneath and a body can be placed inside it while on a table top. I turn on my extruder fan after 30% is completed. Man Spirit File(s): ManSpiritV3.stl Filament: Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: I turn on my extruder fan after 50% is complete. Woman Spirit File(s): WomanSpiritV3.stl Filament: Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: I turn on my extruder fan after 50% is complete. Pre-Existance File(s): PreExistanceV2.stl Filament: Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 10% - 30% (10% looks more transparent and 30% more white) Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: I turn on my extruder fan after 50% is complete. Spirit Paradise and Prison File(s): SpiritParadiseV2.stl, SpiritPrisonV2.stl Filament: Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS and Black ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 10% - 30% (10% looks more transparent and 30% more white) Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: The paradise and prison STL files are oriented coincident to each other. When adding the files to the build plate keep their default positions even if that places them off of the build plate. Then after both files are added select them both and center the group and place the group on the platform and they will remain in the correct positions relative to each other. You can print paradise in Glow-In-The-Dark White with one extruder and prison in Black ABS with the other extruder. I have oriented the parts to have paradise on the left extruder and prison on the right extruder. OR, you can print both paradise and prison in Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS and just color the prison bars black with a black Sharpe afterwords. I also color the tree green with a Sharpe after it is printed. The paradise STL has a wiper wall around it to help with wiping the black ABS so that it doesn't smear on the white ABS. I turn on my extruder fan after 56% is complete. Celestial Kingdom File(s): CelestialKingdomBase.stl, CelestialKingdomSun.stl, 87mmWall.stl Filament: Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS and Yellow ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: The Base, Sun, and Wall STL files are oriented coincident to each other. When adding the files to the build plate keep their default positions even if that places them off of the build plate. Then after all files are added select them all and center the group and place the group on the platform and they will remain in the correct positions relative to each other. Print the base and wall in Glow-In-The-Dark White with one extruder and the sun in Yellow ABS with the other extruder. I have oriented the parts to have the base and wall on the left extruder and the sun on the right extruder. The wall STL is a wiper wall around the base to help with wiping the yellow ABS so that it doesn't smear on the white ABS. I turn on my extruder fan after 50% is complete. Terrestrial Kingdom File(s): TerrestrialKingdomSkyV2.stl, TerrestrialKingdomMoonV2.stl, 87mmWall.stl Filament: Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS and Blue ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 10% - 30% (10% looks more transparent and 30% more white) Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: The Sky, Moon, and Wall STL files are oriented coincident to each other. When adding the files to the build plate keep their default positions even if that places them off of the build plate. Then after all files are added select them all and center the group and place the group on the platform and they will remain in the correct positions relative to each other. Print the sky and wall in blue with one extruder and the moon in Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS with the other extruder. I have oriented the parts to have the sky and wall on the left extruder and the moon on the right extruder. This orientation was not meant to be opposite of the other kingdoms. If you desire to keep your filament loaded in the same extruders as the other kindoms then just rotate the entire assembly 180 degrees on the build plate and then you can keep the Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS in the left extruder and the Blue ABS in the right extruder. The orientation is important so that trails are not left on the finished blue sky when the moon is being printed. The unused extruder drags across the finished sky leaving marks while the moon is being printed with the other extruder. The wall STL is a wiper wall around the sky to help with wiping the Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS so that it doesn't smear on the blue ABS. I turn on my extruder fan after 51% is complete. I did print this with blue PLA and White ABS and the trick to the mixed PLA/ABS print was to set the build plate to 60C, open the door and remove the top cover, and start with a fresh double coat of hair spray. All else remained the same. The closed door and cover with 110C build plate was too hot for the PLA and it would warp about half way through the print. A 40C build plat was too cool for the ABS wiper wall created by MakerBot Desktop and it would pull loose from the build plate. Telestrial Kingdom File(s): TelestialKingdomSkyV2.stl, TelestialKingdomStarsV2.stl, 87mmWall.stl Filament: Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS and Blue ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: The Sky and Stars STL files are oriented coincident to each other, the Wall STL is not. When adding the Sky and Star files to the build plate keep their default positions even if that places them off of the build plate. Then after all files are added select them all and center the group and place the group on the platform and they will remain in the correct positions relative to each other. After the Sky and Stars is centered then you can add the Wall STL and center it on the build plate. Print the sky and wall in blue with one extruder and the stars in Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS with the other extruder. I have oriented the parts to have the stars on the left extruder and the sky and wall on the right extruder. The wall STL is a wiper wall around the sky to help with wiping the Glow-In-The-Dark White ABS so that it doesn't smear on the blue ABS. I turn on my extruder fan after 49% is complete. Earth (Mortal Life) File(s): EarthV2Water.stl, EarthV2Land.stl, 87mmWall.stl Filament: Green ABS and Blue ABS Extruder Temp: 230C Platform Temp: 110C Layer Height: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Raft: Off Support: Off Notes: The Water and Land STL files are oriented coincident to each other, the Wall STL is not. When adding the Water and Land files to the build plate keep their default positions even if that places them off of the build plate. Then after all files are added select them all and center the group and place the group on the platform and they will remain in the correct positions relative to each other. After the Water and Land is centered then you can add the Wall STL and center it on the build plate. Print the water and wall in blue with one extruder and the land in Green ABS with the other extruder. I have oriented the parts to have the land on the left extruder and the water and wall on the right extruder. The wall STL is a wiper wall around the water to help with wiping the green ABS so that it doesn't smear on the blue ABS. I turn on my extruder fan after 40% is complete. I did print this with blue PLA and green ABS and the trick to the mixed PLA/ABS print was to set the build plate to 60C, open the door and remove the top cover, and start with a fresh double coat of hair spray.
