Goal: invisible 1TB Raspberry-Pi computer: create an affordable, powerful, 1TB Linux computer/edge-node blending into our everyday world! Applications: turn any laptop/PC into a 1TB Raspberry-Pi computer; 1TB Linux server that easily mounts into any car; 1TB mobile media server for on-the-go entertainment, data backup; etc. Note: printed parts were developed on a Makerbot Rep2 (PLA), with default settings except no rafts, no bridges. Parts List: Assembly (after loading SW below): assemble parts per photos attached. Item 8 can be eliminated if you can splice/solder the WD PiDrive cable to item #7. The battery (item #6 above) is not absolutely required- it can be replaced by a 5V USB source such as a phone charger, car cigarette lighter adapter, etc. Software: Attach a keyboard, mouse and monitor temporarily for SW installation. To make a virtual Pi laptop: Headless server: Venti-Pi can be implemented as a portable headless server, such as a surveillance-cam recorder; torrent download server; automobile server, entertainment media file server; phone/tablet/computer back-up server; local webserver; etc. There are many free Raspberry-Pi app images available on sites such as raspberrypi.org, instructables.com, etc. Slight nuisance: I keep picking up my Venti-Pi computer to take a sip!
