About me

My name is Andrew Duerner, I grew up locally and received a mechanical engineering degree from UCSB. I have been working as a professional engineer for 12 years. From printing over 20kg of ABS material on my Zortrax M200, I have gained quite a bit of experience on the quirks of getting good parts. My latest project has been to build a functional 552:1 ratio gearbox out of ABS, and a few bearings. I have the Z-Ultrat material which is harder and stronger in white, black, grey, red, blue, green, and yellow. I also have Z-Hips material which is strong and has less warping for larger prints in black, grey, and white. I have Z-Glass material which is diffusely translucent for having the ability to have light or the glow from light come through the material. Finally, I have a Flir1 Infrared camera that can take pictures and video of thermal targets ranging from 0 to 100 degrees C (32-212F).
