Sales and Service
-------------------------

Service & repair, training, design: $60 / hour.
Free consultation for schools and educators.

Print Pricing
-------------------------

$35 set up fee per factory file. A factory file is a unique set of print settings. If multiple parts can be printed with the same settings then you pay the set up fee only once. Please keep in mind that parts requiring support material tend to require a custom set up.

$8 / hour of machine time (this works out to roughly $1 per cm3 for medium layer resolution or $2 per cm3 for high layer resolution).
A firm price will be provided upon receipt of your files.

The following materials are available:

PET: Strong and rigid with a bit of flex, translucent, excellent layer bonding, excellent dimensional stability
ABS: Good for parts requiring heat resistance, easy to machine, shrinkage ~0.5%
Nylon: Strong and flexible, abrasion, and chemical resistant
TPU-95: Flexible, with a shore hardness of 95A
TPU-85: Flexible, with a shore hardness of 85A. Not suitable for all prints.

Guidelines for designing for 3D printing

Minimum wall thickness: 0.5 mm
Minimum surface feature: 2 mm
Largest single piece: 190 * 190 * 190 mm

Lettering or line art should be no thinner than 1 mm and 2 mm is preferable to improve readability.

Parts that are designed to fit together (e.g. dovetail or finger joints) require clearance of approximately 0.1 mm. Each job should be examined to determine the best fit and in most cases it is advisable to run a test print.

We can print with any colour sold by Filaments.ca. When selecting a colour for your print, please note that opaque filament, and especially black and white, tend to accentuate the layer lines, while mid tones and translucent filament tend to hide the layer lines.

Pickup downtown Vancouver. Shipping within Canada by Canada Post or by other carrier on your account.

For customers requiring discretion, I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement. You bring the invention, I’ll add printing and material expertise.
