About me
I'm an enthusiast hobbyist who is an early innovator. I've had an Up! 3d printer but upgraded to Replicator 2 because I wanted a larger build area. Currently waiting on a second printer, the Robox.
I mainly print with PLA but I can print ABS if the design is right..
I'm also doing experimental prints with clear polycarbonate which offers higher heat resistance (glass transition temp of 150 degrees Celsius). If the item you want to have printed will be in a hot place (I.e. your car) all the time, PLA will definitely deform. ABS can withstand a bit more then PLA, but a safer option is polycarbonate. Right now I can only print with clear polycarbonate, but soon I'll get my hands on white, black, red, and green polycarbonate.
