Design Process / Service Content

Each of our projects is as unique as our Clients. Each case is carefully evaluated and analyzed. Environment, cycle times, life cycle, work envelope, and budgets are taken into consideration during the concept design phase. If needed we can help you select the appropriate OEM based on the project scope and unique skill set requirements.

We work very closely with your process and product before setting to the task of design. Once the 3D model is roughed in a preliminary concept review is held. When all open items in the concept have been addressed, and the 3D model has been finalized, a Bill of Materials is generated, and detailed drawings / documents are created for every made component. PDF manuals are provided for purchased components utilized in the design.

The following list illustrates the standard mechanical design deliverable for most of our clients:

•SolidWorks 3D files

•SolidWorks 2D files

•PDF packets of 2D drawings

•DWG packets of 2D drawings (standard Autocad output)

•3D step 214b for CNC cutter path use

•Hard copy 8 ½ x 11 and 11 x 17 in a 3-Ring binder


After the conceptual phase and prior to final design, electrical controls design is started. Panel builds for the controls typically begin following mechanical design approval.

In some cases operation and maintenance manuals are provided. These are in PDF format, include all purchased part information, Lock-out tag Out procedure, Lubrication schedules and points, general safety information, etc....
