Shimano I-Spec Ii Shifter Clamp
Custom 3D printed lever clamps for shimano I-spec II shifters.
This is a standalone shifter clamp for right side shimano I-spec II shifters. I made this out of both PETG and PLA and tested over the past year or so and intentionally overdesigned this as the ones I have seen look they will just stretch the plastic instead of providing clamping force. Printed at 100% infill and includes all hardware as listed:
2x M3x0.5x14 mm 18-8 stainless steel SHCS
2x M4x0.7x16 mm 18-8 stainless steel SHCS
2x M4x4.3x9.0x0.7 mm 18-8 stainless steel washer
2x M4x0.7x4.7 brass tapered heat set insert
Includes 2 shifters clamps, one in PLA and one in PETG, and all hardware.
Weight of shifter clamp including all hardware: 12g
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Not recommended where the bike will be stored in any area that is greater than 100°F as the plastic will soften (car, garage, etc.) and the bolt will need to be tightened before riding otherwise the shifter will rotate.
2. Make sure you clean the inside of the shimano shifter mount plate (where it interfaces with the handlebar) before installation otherwise you won't get full grip strength. I have found if it rotates further down the road after installation it is usually due to water/sweat getting into this interface.
3. You don't need to over-torque the bolt for grip strength and to prevent rotation. It does need to be snug though.
4. You need the mounting plate that connects the shifter to the handlebar for this to work
I have found the PLA to work best in moderate weather and the PETG to work best in extreme weather (peak winter/summer).
I will sell these in batches of 10 so that they are ready to ship when the order is placed.
