First of all many thanks to @aref_naa. He made the first version of these pieces, but they had incorrect rear sides, the promoted sides. I found out how to correct that and here they are. The collection also includes both kings and a gold, but I didn't have an image. They didn't have to be corrected. I use these to design a shogi set based on coloured pieces with original inscriptions. I detest using pieces with indications of how they move. You wouldn't do that for a chess piece would you? I worked with Blender. I corrected the rear sides of the pieces by first replacing it with a flat surface. Then I made an svg drawing with Inkscape. I imported that into Blender. That results in a curve. I gave it thickness and I turned it into a mesh. Then I carved the symbol using the Boolean modifier with difference.
