
The well build Metz 45ct series flashes could use a nice compact mount to support umbrella's. Well, here it is. And yes, I like intersecting cylinders a lot...Versions1.3 moutpoint for camera tripod 2.1 includes tilt clamp for lamp stand 2.5 fixed rendering problems, moved tripod fixing screw to a better location. 2.6 added support material for fixing screw 2.7 changed to M6 stepbolt for tilting.Print, if you printed the 1.x version, tap 1/4" thread and mount it on a camera tripod. the 2.x version needs a M6 bolt and nut. Slide your flash (strobe) on the thing and stick the ubrella in the 8mm hole. Fix with a additional screw. the wedged side mount on the spot where the original metal camera-plate was situated. For balance, slide the flash with the business end towards the mounting lip so the tripod head is nearest to the flash bulb.Protip: print metz_clip_test.scad to test the tolerance in the wedge. adjust spacing variables in the grip() module.
