This modified X carriage makes it much simpler to adjust the X belt. Instead of trying to force the belt in tight slots, use a screw to tighten the slots. This was used with a stronger belt than the default one provided with the kit. This part is derived from the original from RepRapPro. This was made for the RepRapPro Tricolour Mendel 3D printer at Telefab. A more elaborate belt clamp has been made by JamesT42. It can be used in replacement of the file x-carriage-belt.stl.Print one x-carriage-mod and 2 small x-carriage-belt pieces. The small pieces are used to keep the belt in position. Use a screw and a washer to keep them in place and tighten them as much as needed. If it does not seem tight enough, you can cut a small piece of belt and add it in the slot with teeth facing each other. Other assembly instructions are exactly the same as for the default part.
