Companion piece (added 7/10): Moderately-easy enclosure for Soldoodle. I really liked the spool holder by nlancaster, but (i) it was a bit tough to print nicely (it was my third print ever, though :); and (ii) the newer Solidoodle spools seem to have larger diameter. Modified snap-in spool holder, that: The outer bracket and tower could be one piece, except it's too large for the SD2 . ChangeLog: Print (rotate STL as necessary); cut off tiny support from clip edge so it can bend freely; screw with #4 screws. Add some 3/4in PVC pipe cut to length. Done! You can also use clip (bracket) pieces from original design by nlancaster (the photos are with those). Note: Current clip version has held up fine for a few days now. You can choose pipe diameter and clip tightness. The STLs are for a tight fit (you might want to shave off ~0.5 from pipe ends with a Dremel, although not necessary)
