Vertical X for Prusa by North90ty. My design for the vertical-x contest on reprap.org http://reprap.org/wiki/Vertical_X_Axis_Standard_ContestThis design has been tested and works great for me!Print parts, ream the holes, assemble. Should be easy ;) For the Mwade you need 3 #688(8165mm) bearings. I will later upload an alternative extruder that takes the standard #608(8227) bearings. The whole x-axis is designed to be compatible with LM8UU bearings, i use a combination of these and bronze bushings, whatever i have left over. The continuous part of the x-belt runs behind the lower x-bar to make space for deeper x-carriages.The hot-end is mounted 5mm in front of the z-bars, you might loose 5mm of your print-area in the y direction.A more compact Wade extruder for on this Vx-axis can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13150A x-carriage for mounting other things than plastic extruders can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14522A video of Vx_v0p6 printing some belt-wheels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anx-MywxRSMOlder v0p4: www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4QAhoa9acUFirst version v0p1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdG7Jxmdk-4Remarks:
