One of the oldest cemeteries in Sioux Falls, SD is the Mount Pleasant Cemetery (http://www.mtpleasantsf.com). It is my favorite place to look for monuments and stones to model as there is a great variety of sizes, shapes and styles. This particular grave monument was erected to the memory of a toddler who died just over a year of age. It is one of many sad reminders of the high child mortality rate of the 19th and early 20th centuries. I had a difficult time reading parts of the inscription on account of the lighting, the softening of the lettering from the elements and a bit of lichen and moss here and there, but my model helped me to read it more clearly. The original monument here stands roughly about one meter tall, but I didn't remember to include the scale in my model. I created it from roughly 30 photos taken with a Nikon D3100 in RAW mode, converted to 16-bit TIFs in Adobe Lightroom and then imported into Agisoft Photoscan for modeling.
