A collaboration with +bradkenney Was doing some experimentation with the Makerlele body to see the effect of making it more solid. This version of the body features an elliptical cavity that narrows to the front hole and solid construction. This was designed to be printed at 100% infill and has incredibly thick walls. As a result, talking into the front blasts your voice back into your face! In hindsight, the body cavity has a somewhat parabolic shape, so I shouldn't be all too surprised. Has a great sweet spot for drumming on the back right at the edge of the internal chamber nearest the bridge. I'll certainly print all future drums at 100% infilThe strummed sound was nowhere near as great as talking into the soundhole was. Still, a solid infill body showed incredible reflective properties... meaning the next obvious step to try is a properly parabolic resonance chamber with the focal point at the Z-level of the strings.
