A customizable design for a simple faceted container generated by morphing one regular polygon into another. (Technically, the convex hull of the two shapes.) For example, the printed sample has a square bottom and an octagonal top. In addition to the number of sides of the top and bottom polygons, you can customize their radii (to taper the vase instead of expanding it), the height of the vase, and the rotation of the top shape relative to the bottom (useful for aligning different sides). Produces solid models intended to be printed with no infill and no top layers. (If you can't disable top layers, just stop your printer around 90%.) Part of my Customizable Containers series.Photos show polygon-morph-vase.stl printed in brown PLA on my Printrbot Simple. 0.15 layer height, 6 bottom layers, 0 top layers, and "spiral vase" mode (1 continuous perimeter).
