ultimaker tug boat, sealed, fun, The photos are of the first one I printed, the stl file is for my modified v2 which in theory , should be better. I hope to set that version free on a nearby river, once I have made its replacement. printed on an ultimaker at 0.3 layer, 0.8 wall, 0.6 btm/top thickness, 50% infil, print speed 50previously printed at 30% infil and 0.3 bit it was a poor quality result, mainly due to a unsupported spans being too great and the wall thickness being too thin. i have modified these and the stl file is my latest effort.those people on a PLA budget could maybe scale it down a little, it would be interesting to see a few different sizes colours and print settings i run cura and printrunthis was just a learning project for me, since i am new to 3d printing, i was seeing what spans would work, what a thin support would do, what sort of wall thickness would have the best effect, what effect the infil % would have, etc etc, in short i wanted to see what the output was going to be like compared to the original 3d drawing. just a bit of a fun test print, rather than boring shapes, at least this print will find a new hope in my birdbath rather than odd shapes that will find their way into my bin.
