Made this part for my Makerfarm Prusa i3 build, based on similar parts, but made to be bullet proof. Used to relieve stress on the wire harnesses; I used one on the x-carriage stepper and one on the extruder stepper. Can be used in many applications where NEMA 17 steppers are involved. They have grooves to allow the use of zip-ties to secure them; two grooves to secure the harness with small zip ties, and tabs to retain a large zip tie, which is fastened around the motor clip to keep it secure ; works great. I've printed these in both PLA and ABS; ABS is better (pla will warp over time from the heat) The versions pictured are printed in ABS and were made with the machine pictured. Print this in ABS if possible; I used the standard settings (about .2mm layer height, 40% infill 3 shells) solid infill may be better, but my settings worked just fine. to install, slip the clip over the stepper; if the motor is installed, slip the wires through the gap in the clip, and you can get the clip into position with a litlle flexing. route your harness up against the post and zip tie in place. a large zip tie can be routed under the post, wrapped around the clip, and secured tightly (use some pliers to get it tight. trim the zip ties, and you're set) Be sure to view the photos in the gallery to see how the ties are placed if you are confused.
