An early concept for a prosthetic knee/elbow joint with a printable flexible hinge using the elastic properties of Filaflex from Recreus. . This joint has the advantages of being self straightening, tough and durable with shock absorption properties built in. . The socket takes the principles from the custom socket cups that I designed/printed recently which are currently undergoing tests for e-NABLE.
