Make sure you use and apply the "boolean" modifier (union) to attach pieces properly and then recalculate the normals (CTRL+N in edit mode) after redesigning. Also, 122mm on the X axis seems to work well for the finger holes.Printed with 2 shells, 15% infill @ .30mm on a Makerbot Replicator 2, each one takes a little over an hour with those settings. I used no support material, but I did use rafting just to make it easier to pull off the build plate.
