Slide your build platform into place and not have to worry about screws or binder clips getting in the way of the extruder. (using maint. tool, the extruder will never hit the platform track) *Eliminates Gekko Board warping. *I have found that once my Gekko board has flattened out better from using this, it now is able to slide around once fully heated. If you are getting prints with offset layers, use a binder clip instead of the printed plastic clip in the front. You will need (7) M3x6 Button Head screws. http://www.mcmaster.com/#92855A307Print at an angle to get it to fit on your build platform, with the largest surface flat on the build platform and the short piece verticle. TEST FIT IT BEFORE PRINTING!!! Before powering up your printer, install the tracks, and lift (by hand) the platform all the way up to the top. Hold it there and slide the platform back and forth. make sure the tracks don't add any friction to the movement of the platform. If they do, you will need to sand down the sides of the tracks until they clear the sides of the printer. My first ones fit after sanding, second ones fit without modification, so check it! I recommend giving it an acetone wipe to strengthen it, but you must let it dry for 48hrs before installing it if you do. Updated files 4/7/13: New (Alternate) Front clips stay attached stronger, but are a little trickier to get on. (bending tab removed, snap on now) Side clips are .5mm thinner and no longer tapered for better printing, and more clearance between bed and posts.
