This thing was made with Tinkercad. The parts together will upgrade a HBM HD250 metal lathe (and probably some related types as well) from manual cross feed to motorized cross feed for extremely smooth turning. I have printed the upper clamp and gears in PLA with 100% fill and extra slow (35 mm/s), additionally with 130% flow. The lower clamp/body part is printed slow, with 1.4 mm shell thickness and 25% fill (see detail photos) otherwise is uses up 350 g of PLA. I have also temporarily set my print nozzle size to 0.35 (normally 0.4) to get extra overlap in the printing; this makes it extra strong. Made on my Ultimaker and they are definitely strong enough for this hard task. Used it to turn steel and stainless steel, also brass. The only extra parts needed are a motor/gear (Igarashi electromotor, e.g. from Conrad Electronics order nr 244040 which has a gear of (1: 810 I belief)) and any DC powersupply, and a few bolds and nuts to keep it all together. Enjoy, Kees Jalink
