The HMD consist of three parts. Strap + optics + display module. Interchangeable and easily upgradable. It si designed for use with "Standalone display kit" electronics produced by Rozsnyo/VRunion and single HDMI cable of choice (carrying power, video and usb). Standard RiftUP and DK1 cable (quite easy to detach from DK1 unit) can be used as well. You can get the kits at http://riftup.rozsnyo.com/ . There's been several units successfully produced with great costumer feedback. We decided to release the modular HMD design as an Open-Source 3D printable device. There will be a wiki page about how to build the HMD soon.
