This project helps quickly find the center of rounstock for drilling holes. Place center finder in Jacobs-Chuck in place of a bit. Do not tighten, it needs to be able to turn slightly. Square the centerfinder to the vice and place round stock in vice. Lower milling head with center finder gradually to check center. "Touch-off" to make sure that both sides of the center finder make contact with the round stock. If "off" by any amount, "transit" on the X-axis to center the indicator on the center-finder to the center bar on the stem. Mark Center on round stock (or chuck a bit), you should be on center.Download three parts, assemble and "Slurry" weld the pin on the back. A small paint spot on the tip of the indicator and the center bar of the stem will make it easier to see.
