My brother made this from scratch, I assisted him in getting it just right (which was mostly the OpenSCAD syntax). This was originally inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:399182, and the first version used the same skull. However, the latest no longer does. (A less complex skull has replaced it, reducing filesize significantly.) The Rosette is symmetrical in two directions (top/bottom, left/right), and for best quality it's recommended to print two halves and weld/glue them together. The .scad file contains the contours and positioning information for the entire thing. The skull.stl file contains just the skull, and is a dependancy of the OpenSCAD file. The "Full" and "Half" STL files contain the complete rosette and just one half, respectively. Since it's symmetrical, printing the half twice gives the same end result as printing the full version, but doesn't require any support material, thus giving you a nicer looking print. The OpenSCAD file generates just a half by default, uncomment the last line to make it generate the full Rosette.
