This thing allows you to attach Taulmans small spools up on the original mounting bar. Even cheap PLA is strong enough for this application. BUT NOTE: You'll either have to take out the screws, that hold the sandwiched pieces together, every time you put this on or take it off, OR, (do what I did) counterbore the screw heads with a 6mm drill and shorten the screws on the other side with a dremel.
