If you're like me, you probably disassemble your extruder slightly more often than you would prefer to. I got tired of keeping track of that little 2.5mm hex key and designed some thumb knobs that would be small enough to maintain my OEM look and function, but have enough grip to securely torque together the extruder assembly. After a few tries, I found that printing at .2mm layer height and increasing the scale by 6% with 2 shells at 50% infill produced satisfactory results. I ran my HBP at 60C with no filament fan which is the cause for the very poor looking prints. Once these were done printing, I used a #12 scalpel blade to shave off the tiniest bit of plastic to get the perfect fit i wanted and secured each piece to the head of the bolt using a drop of CA glue. Make sure the bolts aren't in your machine while the CA is being applied. capillary action will pull the glue deep inside your extruder assembly. but on the bright side, if this does happen, you'll never have to take your extruder apart again. Cheers!
