Stole the idea from this instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/Alien-Pyramid-Spaceship/ and customized the parts to work together easily. Uses the colorbeam board: https://www.tindie.com/products/ColorBeam/colorbeam/ So it glows with a modulating RGB LED lighting.I printed the pyramid with gold plastic, you can also paint it like in the instructable. http://www.instructables.com/id/Alien-Pyramid-Spaceship/ If you have transparent plastic, you can print the panels and glue them in- I found them to be too transparent, so I glued parchment paper inside to make the light more diffuse. The instructable also has template for the windows so you don't need clear plastic. I printed the base in a different color for contrast. I want to add pins to the base and matching holes to the pyramid bottom so you can set it on the base and it won't shift around.
