Version 2 of the M3D filament guide. I wanted to see if the purely vertical version or an angled version worked better. A simple side hook filament guide for the M3D micro printer. If you are using the M3D initial spool (from the M3D download section), this will reduce the drag of the filament over the side of the chassis and the spool holder hook. The opening for the filament in the guide is designed a small bit larger than the 1.75mm filament to allow for easy flow to the extruder. UPDATE: I created another angled version that allows the filament to enter the guide from multiple angles. Check out my version 3.0. I took some measurements with some digital calipers and a few tries later had the general shape for the M3D chassis hook. Since I didn't like the way the filament was riding along the side of the chassis with the default spool holder, I made the vertical version and this angled version. I modified the opening a bit on the angled version to make sure that the filament would be able to slide through a little easier (without filing). I hope you like one or the other.
