I decided to make an upside-down planter for suspending pot plants from the roof of the conservatory. Having bought a cheap, but nice looking, flower pot from the local garden centre and drilling a hole in the bottom, I decided to add a mesh grill that keeps the soil in. The design is fully parametric (if you use the OpenSCAD file), so can be adjusted to suit your own needs. My flower pot has four mouldings in the base and the grill had to be notched to fit around them.I printed this in ABS and increased the flow rate to 120%, which gave me the best results. It seems suitably robust but flexible enough to fit around the plant. If, unlike me, you don't need the four notches (though it probably won't matter if you leave them), set add_notches to false in the OpenSCAD file. Enjoy!
