This is a fully functional microphone shock mount for a side-address microphone. (Also called a "spider mount.") It's functionally equivalent to equipment that can cost around $50 to buy retail. This design is meant to be printed on a RepRap style 3D printer. This is somewhat like the last microphone mount, but it prints all in one session. It prints upside down. Turn it right-side up, add some hair bands, a hose clamp, and a microphone clip, and you're good to go.If you want a tight friction fit on the microphone clip, you might need to add a washer. The forks on microphone clips are sized differently, so don't be surprised if this adjustment is needed. I am not aware of any standards for this. (Though if you know of one, please tell me!) Be warned that this takes a fair amount of plastic to print. In my next version, I'm going to use easily sourced and inexpensive metal parts to reduce the amount of plastic required for the 3D printed parts.
