A simple camera slider for time-lapse photography made from leftover parts from a 3d printer build Project. Uses 10mm rods, 2xLM10UU and 1xLM10LUU bearings for the slider, and a M8 threaded rod and bolt for the linear motion. The threaded rod idles in a 608 bearing, and is powered by a NEMA17 stepper motor Everything is mounted in 50mm wide C channels with 25mm hole spacing. This is work in progress. Likely updates will be strengthening of the 10mm rod mounts and the mount for the lead screw. The 1500mAh battery lasted for ~1200 exposures, and moved the carriage the full lengthhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9voTu-JKQ6Q Edit February 9th 2015: Added a end stop mount for mounting standard mech endstops to the 10mm rods. New render uploaded. Edit February 5th 2015: Added test code that moves the sled, triggers and then moves again.
