This is a roller brearing spool holder for the Makerbot 2 for smaller wider rolls of filament (MatterHackers.com). This is based on my previous spool holder but has some improvements, the biggest being support isn't needed to print the 'top hat' shape. This holder is held together by gravity. When you remove a spool, make sure you push on the holder to keep the bearings in place or you'll have parts all over the place. Some day I'll add something to hold it together so that doesn't happen, or someone else can add that. Once you get used to it, you don't even think about it when removeing a spool. I've included 2 different shafts, one for each side of the machine. I keep my Makerbot sized spool holder on the right, and this one on the left. 1) Print 9 bearings, no support, minimal fill. 2) Print the spool holder (top hat). I used med resolution, about 10% fill. 3) Print the shaft in fine resolution and about 15% fill for strength. This part needs support. 4) Assemble the parts.
