This stand allows a Wade's extruder to stand alone when used to drive a Bowden tube. This is an aggressive remix of sponnet's Printrbot Bowden Mod (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26963) which pulled this part from Greg's Wade Reloaded (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18379 ) ** Original file from sponnet used an M8 hole for the bowden tube mounting. I just received my (pneufit) SPC-06-01 Pneumatic Push to Connect Fitting. This fitting uses a British Standard Pipe Taper Thread R1/8". Tap size is 8.4mm for this thread, but I'm 'self' tapping with the thread itself into the plastic. I'm using 9.45mm for the base and 9.15 for the tip (it tapers.) These values are now parameter driven in the extruder_to_bowden_stand_vert_fitting.scad file (and used in the associated .STL file.) The OpenSCAD file is included and can easily be modded to change thickness or add screw-down holes to the base plate. I sliced in Slic3r with a .25 infill (would probably increase that to .35 if I print again,) in PLA.
