I wanted a spool holder for my daVinci that would still allow the top to open without having to cut anything. This was inspired by the other deluxe spool holders. You have to slide the top up to attach the brackets, but then you can slide it back down and there is plenty of clearance for it to open. The brackets have cutouts to accommodate spines on the daVinci. The overhang of the cutout is slanted so that supports are not needed. I use a plastic rod I found around the house for the axis, but I have included an axis similar to the one from the original remix. That should be printed horizontally with supports for greatest strength. Edit: I added a bracket called "SuperLeft" that will fit to the far left of the daVinci 1.0. You will need a different axis, but this would allow you to use a spool of any width. You could also use multiple spools (but I would use all 3 supports in that case).
