Batman inspired book keep- a closer strap to keep books closed and paper safe.Since my accident forced me to retire on disability. I ,now, have returned to sketching ( when I am up to it) and writing to kill time. So, I keep sketch books and note books on hand. I always had an issue with pages , loose notes and sketches falling out since grade school. I used to use heavy rubber-bands but they ruin the books by pulling in to tight and cutting into the pages and covers. Heavy womens hair scrunchies quickly loose their shape. I came up with this , after seeing a researchers note book with a permanently attached elastic band. I got the heavy wide elastic at a craft store and measured to fit my books and etablets. used SVG INKSCAPE to due the graphic. Tinkercad to do the stl for print, and Mona ( a Makerbot 2x named for sounds it makes , when she is in use) to print. It was white as you see, so I painted it black( next time i will print it in black) The symbol is Jerry Robinson's take on the classic 1940's -1950's Batman Chest emblem. BatFact - Batman's costume the cape, cowl and accessories were never intended to be blue, Bob Kane wanted it to be printed as Black and dark Gray- Due to the limitations of printing at the time. Blue was used as the color. Kane was quoted as blue was used since Black fabric would have a blue highlight in the bright light and printing in all black would over saturate the printing paper in use at the time and make it look like it was water logged.
