FEEDERBOT I made a filament rack and wanted to share the parts list and diagram so people could make their own. I spent a long while testing with spool sizes from all the usual suspects and this setup seems to work well with all. The 3/4" pvc pipe (actual outer diameter 1" or 27mm) fits the smaller 33mm spools (Octave, MatterHackers) and the larger 52mm spools (MBI, Protoparadigm). One Note: I sell this rack fully assembled and it includes the red threader cap that cleans the filament in some of the photos. Unfortunately since that part is patented I can't share it here. (http://www.feederbot.com) 3/4" PVC PIPE You can use hardware store 3/4"PVC Schedule 40 pipe. I use furniture grade PVC pipe - it's much more expensive but the high gloss finish produces very little friction when the spools are doing their thing. www.Lowes.com www.Formufit.com I suggest dry fitting all pieces THEN use PVC pipe cement on all parts. The cement dries in 30 seconds - so be careful with this step. In total you will need 1 x 10' length 3/4" PVC pipe cut down to: 1 x 15" (front foot) 1 x 10" 2 x 8" 4 x 7" 2 x 6" 2 x 5" 6 x 4" (5 of these are the spindles that the spools hang on) 2 x 1.5" 4 x 3-way elbow 5 x tee 1 x cross 3 x 90 degree elbows 5 end caps
