Parts to build a compact spool holder. Designed in SketchUp Additional parts needed: -M8 rods They need to be a bit longer than the spool width. You can use longer M8 rods to make space for more spools. 2 needed. -M8 nuts 8 for frame assembly 2 per bearing -M8 washers 8 for frame assembly 2 per bearing -608ZZ bearings 4 per spool Print the entire set. The holder will be assembled in RepRap style. Prepare the M8 rods to the following: First Side part: Nut, washer, side part, washer, nut Then, mount the bearings: Nut, printed washer, washer, 608ZZ bearing, washer, printed washer, nut. Repeat these steps for every bearing. Close off the holder with the second side part: Nut, washer, side part, washer, nut. Adjust the bearings to the spool's dimensions and make sure every nut is screwed on tight. If you plan on using the holder for more than one spool, make sure to print extra washers. 8 are needed per spool. I built mine to have an "active" slot, where the currently used filament spool is put, and some space to store unused spools.
