This is the second iteration of my vectored thrust Tricopter! Important: See [Instructions] tab for parts list, link to custom flight controller firmware, and build tips. I've built two versions using these parts, described by the length of the front (cross) tube: Alpha: 290mm Bravo: 390mm These are my variants, but feel free to be creative and try something different!! Video demo of the smaller (290mm) tri: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejAiD1Q9Bf4WARNING: I'm assuming you have some experience with DIY remote control multicopters or aircraft. If not, you're probably going to need (a lot of) help from a friend that does to build this. Note: I printed all the parts at 0.2mm from PLA on my Printrbot Simple Metal. YMMV Download & read "Excelsior-TopPlateBuildInstructions.pdf" from the Files tab before starting to see what's involved. 3D Print Checklist For the tubes: In my experience, 12mm carbon fiber tubes cut easily with a hacksaw or dremel, but try to avoid breathing the resulting dust. I hear the resins used to make them can be harmful.
