I printed out a set of scale models of the buildings where my wife has worked, in Tokyo, New York and San Francisco. The buildings are Shiodome City Center (Tokyo), City Spire (New York) and One Bush Plaza (San Francisco). They are roughly to scale relative to each other - I think One Bush might be a little oversized.Printing City Spire was easy, though I did lower the temperature (in Raft) to avoid blobbing towards the top. This model will top out the Makerbot's vertical height: keep an eye on it towards the end of printing (or scale it down to 90%).One Bush required some tinkering with Oozebane to get good definition. The little mechanical tower on the back has some slight issues, it looks like there is a tiny gap between it and the main body. Shiodome City Center is more challenging, since there are overhangs in the front awning, the base of the building, and the heli-pad up on top. Once again, lowering the temperatures (I used 200C) and using the Unpause plugin helped, by speeding things up and keeping the overhangs well-glued to the main body. I had to do some cleanup knife work on the awning.
