This is a printable linear slide rail for Pandelume's printable Unicorn Pen Plotter www.thingiverse.com/thing:4200. The rail takes advantage of the smooth bottom surfaces of things printed on a heated build platform. the smooth surfaces allow the slide and rail to slide easily without catching on any ridges. These pieces were printed using a MK5 plastruder and heated platform with stock MakerBot unsanded kapton. I have no idea if this will work on sanded/taped platforms.STL and SolidWorks 2010 model files are included.Print the rail bottom, 2 rail sides, and the slide on a heated build platform. Glue the sides (I used super glue) to the rail bottom so that the smooth bottoms of all pieces face the inside of the rail. Bolt the rail and slide into their respective places on the Unicorn. There is only one bolt hole for the rail so it might be a good idea to glue it in place to prevent rotation. The printed rail is thicker than the metal version so you will likely have to move the servo mount forward or make the hinge parts thicker to compensate. I don\'t have a servo yet so I haven\'t been able to test it out, but it does slide nicely by hand.
