This is an assembly jig to build chassis for RC vehicles. It is used to square the whole chassis build. In the photos you can see how the wheelbase is controlled with the placement of the axles and the parts used to do so. I will be adding to this as I build more additions to the jig.Base Mounts: Are used to mount other pieces and parts to the Jigs Base.Wheelbase/Axle Mounts: Are used to hold the axles at a specific distance form each other for creating the Wheelbase for the chassis to be built. As well as the hold the axles ridged for control arm mounts. Assembly Jig Base: It is a piece of plate Aluminum 12\" wide x 24\" long x 1/4\" thick with 8-32 holes at 1\" increments. Base Mounts: Are 1/8\" x 3/4\" Aluminum angle cut to 1/2\" lengths and drilled with a #29 drill bit(.136\") centered on one leg of the angle. And a slot is cut on the other leg using a 3/16\" end mill centered in the leg starting 5/16" from the outer corner of the angle. Wheelbase/Axle Mounts: Are 1/8\" x 2\" x 2-1/2\" flat Aluminum with a slot cut using a 3/16\" end mill 1-1/2\" long centered in the length and measured down from the top edge 1/2\" There are also two holes drilled in the bottom corners to hold the \"Base Mounts\". The slot is marked from the center of the slot to each end on 1/8" intervals. To make placing the axle exactly where the designer prefers.
