I created this low profile knob for the Reprapdiscount smart controller because the other knobs on Thingiverse were too tall for the installation and the rotary switch hole was not precise enough to prevent the knobs from falling off. This knob is very basic in design. Feel free to adjust the SCAD file (included) to make the knob the perfect height that you require. The low profile knob really helps to make traversing the menu of the smart controller more accurate. Print the knob in PLA with 20% infill and 0.2mm layer height. Ensure that your hot end is clean to prevent any PLA blobs from forming in the rotary switch hole. This will ensure that the knob fits perfect on the LCD smart controller without the need for trimming. The low profile knob really helps to make traversing the menu of the smart controller more accurate. Enjoy!
