This variation on the Y axis bearing housing allows a 22mm 608Z "sk8er" bearing to be used on the Y axis drive shaft. This means the standard 8mm steel drive rod can be used but without the need to file a flat along its entire length. Alternatively, a threaded rod can be used, but attachment of gears using M8 nuts & washers is left as an exercise to the diligent researcher (I'm looking at you Graeme :).Print. Poke captive nut into oblong hole. Clamp onto Z axis strut using M5 bolt or grub screw passing through captive nut. Hold the other side in position on an M8 threaded support using M8 nuts and washers. Arrange Y axis so that the bearing is pushed into the housing and don't squash the bearing with the M8 nuts!If you print it a little tight, warm it up to get the bearing in. If it's a little loose, just wrap the outer edge of the bearing in PTFE tape.
