This is a high resolution scan of a special rock that controls the weather. Use it as a casing for your DIY remote project for your kids. They will love it. The original was found in the forest on a windy day. I told my son I found a Remote !!! Many times with success I turned on and off the wind and sun. Luckily when he tried it with his sister (3 and 2 years) the sun and wind also did turn on and off. In cases it didn't work I told them not to point to the ground but upwards to the sky !!! Let's make this rock famous and use this high resolution STL for DIY remotes around the world. Comment with a picture of your RF or IrDA device. The STL has been build up using roughly 14 scans, done with a structured light scanner and extra points for reference. For better result the rock was sprayed grey. In the picture you can still see some residue. Structured light scanner uses a 1000 lines. Maximum resolution 0.06 mm depending on the size of the object. Meshlab was used to align the point clouds and export the STL.
